This project went straight from design concept right through to prototyping at Envisionize. The client had been researching on the technology and process, and wanted to create a design that was friendly for home use.
The product has a base/reservoir that stores the water. Using a water pump, that water rises to the top through the centre. From there it trickles down the outside walls, thus feeding all the growing plants with water. The middle section is modular, allowing the user to use as many levels as they want.
We designed, rendered and 3D printed this. The 3D printed prototype is used in the client's home to this day. They've since taken this to small scale production.
